reported by Brian Scott, LiteracyNews.comSeventy-five percent of parents hope to tap into scholarship funds to help alleviate the burden of college costs, according to a survey commissioned by Kohl?s Department Stores. Today, that hope is a reality for the parents of 10 extraordinary youths who were named National Winners of the Kohl’s Kids Who Care® Scholarship Program. Hailing from eight states and ranging in age from 9 to 18, each winner was awarded a $5,000 scholarship to further his or her education. Each National Winner takes home a $1,000 regional scholarship, a Kohl?s gift card and Kohl?s Department Stores will donate $1,000 to the nonprofit organization of each winner?s choosing.
