C. Berger Group, Inc. has been contracted to fill the following positions:Contract Medical Librarian/ Madison, WIFull-Time for roughly 6 months.Responsibilities1. Provide reference assistance and library instructions to ground and online faculty and students.2. Provide reference assistance to both online and ground students some evening and weekend hours.3. Process interlibrary loan requests and keep statistics of ILL.4. Collaborate with other librarians to create discipline-specific web-based exercises, simulations and other online applications including instructional materials, tutorials, etc. and facilitate the use of such tools.5. Develop and maintain close relationships with online faculty and students.6. Collaborate with library staff, faculty, and other campus partners to design, develop, promote, and assess the effectiveness of library instructional materials both online and in print, tutorials and other digital learning objects for all disciplines.7. Actively participate in library discussions related to educational technologies, information literacy, and circulation services to all students and faculty, and integrating those services into the campus learning management system.8. Provide collection development recommendations with specific focus on the needs of the online student population.9. Maintain a proactive approach and recommendations to emerging distance education initiatives, technologies and other new developments that could strengthen online reference and instructional efforts in support of the curriculum and information literacy programs.10. Coordinate outreach and marketing of library services to other constituents of AUO programs.11. Basic cataloging when necessary.QaulificationsMLIS from an ALA-accredited institution or equivalent degree.Experience in providing reference and teaching library instruction classes in an academic environmentFamiliarity with the concepts and goals of information literacy. …
