Thanks for keeping me on your blogrolls! I’ve been doing a lot of reorganizing for our Library Liaison Program here at Georgia Southern University. I’m coordinating this program in my new position of Collection Development & Assessment Librarian, and we’re all excited about our new approach. Check it out below. Harwell, Collection Development & Assessment Librarian jharwell@georgiasouthern.edu Timeline Oct. 24, 2007: Presentation to Faculty Senate Library Committee Oct. 30, 2007: Presentation to Deans Council Nov.-Dec. 2007: Soft launch; transitions in Library Liaison responsibilities; workshops for Library Liaisons; meetings with Deans, Chairs, and/or Organizational Leaders; fine-tuning of approval plan profiles as appropriate Spring 2008: Campuswide rollout Goals Facilitate consistent, ongoing, two-way communication between Henderson Library and GSU faculty, staff, and students Gather input from GSU entities which will be vital in continually refining Henderson Library’s provision of access to information, collections, and services Everyone within these areas should be aware that they have their very own dedicated librarian as a resource. …
