Assistant professor, information literacy librarian

State: IllinoisAssistant Professor, Information Literacy Librarian, available 8/1/08. Full-time, 12-month, tenure-track, ranked faculty position. Rank/salary commensurate with experience and education. Required: Earned MLS from ALA-accredited program or equivalent; knowledge of information literacy principles and standards; bibliographic instruction and/or teaching experience at college level; ability to communicate effectively with faculty, staff, students, and general public required for appointment as instructor rank (temporary). Additional master*s degree in academic discipline required within four years for eligibility for tenure-track appointment. Preferred: Second master*s degree in academic discipline (required for appointment as assistant professor); professional academic library experience; two or more years of teaching experience; and substantial, current knowledge of information technologies.
