This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute in a wide range of information, instructional, and technology functions, work in a collegial environment, and to help a small academic library achieve its fullest potential.Duties: Reporting to the Library Director, this position acts in a leadership and consultative role, coordinating access and multimedia services’ activities and outreach. This person supervises resource sharing and document delivery, circulation and course reserves, distance learning, and special collections. This individual will serve as the resident authority for copyright compliance and preservation and conservation, providing assistance and instruction in fair use of library materials, managing the University Archives and handling all digitization projects for the organization. Working with Academic Technology staff, this person provides support to faculty in the creation and assessment of new teaching approaches and student assignments using the multimedia production stations within the Center for Digital Excellence. As a member of the Library and Information Services team, this person shares in providing reference and instruction, participates in collection development, audiovisual services, course teaching responsibilities, and in Information Literacy and Library 2.0 initiatives.Required Qualifications: Enrollment in ALA-accredited library or information science master degree granting program; effectiveness in organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; must be willing to work evening & weekend rotations. …
